Our 2016 holiday hours are as follows:
We will be open for business regular hours (Wednesday through Sunday from 11-5pm) with the following exceptions-
Saturday December 24th – Closing Early @ 3pm
Sunday December 25th – CLOSED
Saturday December 31st – Closing Early @ 3pm
Sunday January 1st – CLOSED
Following the holidays we will begin our Winter Hours and will be open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 11am-5pm.
Instead of juicing 100lbs of beets in a household juicer every time we brew a batch of Red Fox Ale, we enlisted the help of the Ontario Agri-Food Venture Centre in Colborne to help us process 2400 lbs of beets from our owner Andrew’s family farm. Thanks to everyone at the Agri-Centre for all of your help!
We’ve been working towards making a beer brewed with 100% of our own farm-grown ingredients since before our brewery opened in the Spring of 2014. After six years of harvesting malting barley, three seasons of hop growing, and sourcing our own water tables, we are happy to announce that our Brewmaster Daniel MacKinnon has crafted a Harvest Ale using ingredients exclusively from the MacKinnon Brothers 230 year old family farm. We hope this unique brew encourages beer lovers to drink local, and solidifies our commitment as Farmers and Brewers. Cheers.
*Our Harvest Ale was brewed on Wednesday October 5th, 2016 and will be available on select local taps and at our brewery retail store by early to mid-November.
